AJC to present on Iran, Immigration Reform at Yom Limmud this weekend
Sunday afternoon, Feb. 14, AJC Houston will feature and lead two programs at BJE's Yom Limmud (Day of Learning) at Congregation Beth Israel. At a lunch and learn session, Randy Czarlinsky will discuss Iran and the Middle East and how a nuclear Iran would alter the world we know today.  Immediately following the session, he will moderate a discussion on Jewish Ethics and Immigration Reform that features AJC's Barbara Shepard, immigration attorney and presidential advisor Charles Foster, and builder Stan Marek of Marek Brothers.
 
AJC Urges UN Security Council to Take Action on Iran
AJC sent a letter to the ambassadors of all UN Security Council members, urging them to take action on Iran's nuclear program.
 
Woo Dinner to Feature Conversation on Immigration Reform
AJC Houston's Institute of Human Relations Award dinner honoring Don Woo will focus on what diversity and immigration reform will look like in the next generation in Texas and across the rest of the country.  The Wednesday, March 24 dinner will featureboth Charles Foster and Dr. Steve Murdock, former head of the US Census and professor of sociology at Rice University, who will participate in a conversation with the audience. For information and reservations, please click here. 
 
AJC Partners with IsraAID in Haiti Earthquake Relief
